Adios college//hola summer

So much catching up to do! I'm just going to go backwards for the next few posts. I don't care if it makes sense or not soooo.

First off... I GRADUATED FROM NAU!!!
We took a little trek up north to Flagstaff and stayed for two days to celebrate a long journey of assignments and projects. The first night I was able to attend the Hispanic Convocation because, well, I'm Mexican and that's cool!

My Abuela was able to come with us and it was so sweet to have her there. Right before the ceremony she gave me the cutest purse and a hummingbird necklace. I always think of my Nana (my other grandma who passed) when I see them. It was such a special gift that I was  able to wear and have her their in spirit! My nana worked at Mesa Community College for almost 30 years and helped numerous Hispanics get an education so I thought of her and how proud she would have been!
The next day was the commencement day and I was able to meet up with my old cohort friends!

It was just such a happy exciting to time to celebrate US. The all the hard work, all the times we had doubts if this is the right career path, if  we could handle the hardest times in my life while getting good grades... We made it! I'm so proud of these girls (including Michele who was in the audience) for taking this journey with me!

I sat down at the bottom of the skydome feeling emotional about all the people who helped. Epecially my parents and husband. I prayed that they felt my appreciation and live down there. The rest was of course cliche speeches and lots of confetti!

My favorite guy!

I don't really have plans for the summer but Tyler and I have made up our minds that it's going to be a spontaneous adventure! Happy summer!
