However busy I think I am with school or work and that I can't do anything else, I still do. I think it's important to treat myself every once in a while and make sure I spend time with the ones I love. Why? Because they keep me sane!
Last Friday Tyler, my in-laws and I attended the Spring East Vally Millenial Choirs concert at the Mesa Arts Center. I'm into pretty much anything that is going on there and the choir's Christmas performance (you can read about it here) was probably one of the most spiritual and uplifting experiences I've ever had. Music touches me like art and nature do and it can be so inspiring to hear it in the best form. The Spring concert was titled Deliver Us. Right away I thought of the animated movie Joseph Prince of Egypt, one of my all time favorites especially the sound track, and was so happy to find that that was the theme of the concert! The songs were about ancient prophets and the love God has for us. I had chills the entire time and I could not get enough of literally feeling the music everywhere around me. The director gave a comment that so often society can chooses to eat french fries and burgers and not know any different but that we were listening to gourmet. Such great advice, I wanted to go home and play classical music the rest of the night. I can't wait till Christmas!
Grace looked cute as ever! We both complimented each other on our new haircuts. Love her!
These past weekend was so gorgeous. Before we went to church there were fluffy clouds an blue skies and when we came out it was cold and rainy. Tyler said that is was comfy Sunday due to the chili ess so we spent the rest of the night in sweatpants and hoodies because what else would we wear?? Also if you ever have to teach a group of four year olds about the Word of Wisdom and that we shouldn't smoke tobacco, drink beer or coffee. Good luck not laughing the entire time. One boy told me he was going to tell his mom to make sure she doesn't give him anything alcoholic and another boy thought that my picture of cigarettes looked like french fries.
