Senior Pictures

Recently I had my senior pictures taken. Sidney took my senior pictures in high school, my engagement pictures and the only reason she didn't take my wedding pictures is because she was having a baby that week. She's the nicest photographer who is so comfortable to be around! It only felt right to have her capture the next milestone in my life graduating at NAU! We drove all the way out to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum because I wanted to be surrounded by plants and old things.  It feels so nice to embrace your beauty and be celebrate your accomplishments with pretty pictures! If you ever need a photographer in the AZ valley she is your girl (sidneyulrichphotos.blogspot.com). So here are some pictures from our shoot!

Easter weekend

Gosh I love Easter. There are always flowers everywhere, the weather is gorgeous and the spirit of Christ is so present.
It was so nice to have a Friday off to relax! I took the day to get errands done and do a little service project! Thanks to the Shine Project, I got the idea to fill up Easter eggs with treats and write uplifting things on them. I spread them throughout my neighborhood and hopefully it put a smile on someone's face!
On Saturday my parents called us in the morning and said they were taking a spontaneous lake trip and we we completely fine with canceling our plans (because lake trips are more important than laundry). It was a beautiful day and my sister, my mom, and I canoed around the lake  while the boys were in another boat fishing. I wish the lake was little closer so we could have a lake day everyday!

On Sunday I gave a talk about the joy of living a Christ-centered life. I was emotional but felt the spirit so strong as I shared my testimony and experiences with the ward about Christ. My favorite part was when a talked about The Easter pageant a week before and one man came up to me and Rebecca and told us he was playing one of the Sadducees. He said that in learning about all the reasons they hated Jesus, he was able to love the Savior more. I just loved that! As I watched pageant I felt the my love so strong for Him as I watched Christ heal the children and forgive those who persecuted him. He has so much love for all his children.
We spent lots of time with family and I'm still trying to get rid of all this candy! I wished this weekend was longer but I cherish Easter more an more every year!
